During the migration, the construction of the homepage was updated to include SEO-friendly URLs and meta tags. It was essential to preserve SEO gained over the lifetime of the website. This was achieved by ensuring all old URLs were correctly routed to the new URLs, sending the correct HTTP headers.

Artificial Gallery: Website
Artificial Gallery have successfully operated an online gallery based on Neoco's technology for a number of years. The website is designed to sell works of art by popular artists. This project was to move the site from Neoco's old CMS to the new one, updating the site with a specific focus on SEO. The main idea was to introduce SEO-friendly URLs plus manageable meta-keywords and meta-description elements to every page. It was also essential that the site conformed to W3C standards (should be a given for any site).
My role
As Head of Development at Neoco, I was responsible for leading the development team and PHP programming.
