British Cycling Skyride

The Skyride microsite promotes Sky's series of organised rides that run throughout summer 2009. In addition to the city rides (the new London Freewheel), riders can also signup for local led rides - organised by British Cycling and varying in difficulty and length.

A quick and easy search mechanism was essential to allow cyclists to find a ride in their local area. The Google map search and events calendar provide two different ways of viewing the list of events.

The signup forms were designed to be as quick and easy as possible to encourage users to signup, whilst still collecting the information needed by Sky and British Cycling.

My role

I was responsible for building the website, including the signup forms and Google maps application. In addition to the PHP and jQuery coding, I worked on aspects of the design, for example the route information page.
