One of the key features of the app was a map showing the key locations (stages, bars, toilets, etc..), poly-lines of the major paths plus a pin for each of your friends. This worked well during development but failed during field testing due to lack of bandwidth.
GlastoFinder was a quick personal project designed so that I could find my friends at Glastonbury 2011. The concept was that everyone going would check-in when they were at a stage or a bar for a bit, and then check-out when they were heading off. These check-ins and check-outs could be accomplished either via the web app itself or via Twitter (by including the #glasto hashtag). Within the short timescale that the app was built in it worked sufficiently well, although there was the (expected) issue of patchy Internet access at the festival.
