The TransForm MKSM website was designed to showcase the wide range of design, planning and development expertise that TransForm MKSM have to offer.
The eventual design was centered around conveying “who we are”, “what we do” and “how we can help your organisation”.
In addition to the website, certain social media strategies were put in place to try to stretch the reach of the high-quality content and advice TransForm MKSM have to offer. Twitter, Delicious and Wordpress were all setup and the blog registered with Technorati.
The website is built around a bespoke OO PHP framework - based on the same engine that powers this portfolio website. You can download the source code for davegardner.me.uk via subversion.
It was essential that the website adhered to the best possible accessibility standards. All XHTML and CSS was built to validate to W3C standards, the content was built to be accessible and certain extra features, such as access keys, were added to help improve accessibility for all users.
I was responsible for managing the entire project. This started with a pitch to the client, beating off other competition, and included designing the website functionality and managing the build. The design and HTML (frontend coding) were outsourced, I implemented the PHP backend required to power the site and completed the bespoke Wordpress theme to match the rest of the website. I also created the bespoke homepage slideshow, powered by jQuery.
